We celebrate the many women and men who built the artifacts of computing and who invented its concepts. However, with hardly any exception, every one of these people worked in collaboration with dozens to thousands of other individuals, whose names will be lost forever to time. Designing, developing, and deploying complex software and hardware artifacts of scientific and economic value require the collaborative effort of many.
